I have been given levaquin about 8 times in less than two years. Then, I was given Cipro this last month and knew it because knots came up and they hurt. So, today, I told the dr no Cipro and no levaquin. I don't think I spelled that right! Anyway, he would not let me finish my sentence, did not look at my arm. I asked for amoxicillin.
It's a sad video... drug companies minimize the studies showing risk and emphasize the positive. Keep spreading the word; this is how change happens. God bless.
Fortunately I have not been on any of the aforementioned antibiotics. My doctor seems to keep up on things and my pharmacy is awesome. I get plenty of info and am also one to ask questions .
I'm sorry to have missed this yesterday, but so glad you posted this. Heart breaking! I've written all of those down to pass along to my family and friends. Thank you, MsA.
My son was given Cipro at 18 months old. He had an allergic reaction that lasted 9 months. It was one of the scariest times of my life. He now has a lifelong allergy to this and many other antibiotics.
Scary thing that these things happen and destroy people's lives. Thanks so much for your information. I am lucky to have a doctor who has never prescribed these medications. I am now educated on them thanks to you. Prayers to all the families suffering from the side effects.
It's so sad seeing all the people who have been affected, and I hate to think of you still suffering. I hope you've gotten better. Thank you for spreading the word.
This stuff is so terrible. Thanks for this information (and what you earlier told me). I thought the pledge was "do no harm?" Yet, they are harming so many people.

I had no idea, thanks for posting this-I wonder why does this sort of thing continue to happen with medications, the FDA, Pharmacy Companies...?

Thank you for this. I hate big pharma.
We don't like it when your mommy hurts either.
I've never heard of this. Thanks for sharing the info, and I will definitely start researching.
