Isn't She Lovely

Remember the contest I mentioned winning HERE ?  It took some serious pondering to decide who I wanted Lotta Joy to draw for me.  I was wracking my brain trying to come up with someone special, when hubby said, why don't you have her draw one of your famous (although very distant) relatives?  Absolutely brilliant idea!  She and I both got to work, to come up with a photo.  I didn't want the "iconic" photos that you see all over the web, I wanted one that showed the age and character in that beautiful face, that time wasn't able to erase.

My oldest Son, who is a huge fan of this person, helped decide the photo Lotta would use. This magnificent, original artwork will be passed to him, when I die.  Until that time, she will grace my wall and every time I look at her, I will think of Lotta Joy and her wonderful, talented hands... AND BE GREEN WITH ENVY!

Thank you, Lotta, from the bottom of my heart!

Please allow me to share with you, Audrey Kathleen Ruston, better known as "Audrey Hepburn".

Wow, that sketch is really beautiful, but Audrey was a really beautiful lady anyway.
It's fantastic that you are related to her...I'd love to know how, that is me just being nosey!

I'm trying to look up Eva Southern, but not finding much about this silent movie actress, I just find her fascinating.

OH MY GOD! That you have THIS, THIS, THIS TESTAMENT TO REAL BEAUTY as so many of us are aging in a time and culture where only youth and plastic surgery are regarded as "beauty" touches my SOUL, brings tears to my eyes, I ADORE HER, this artwork, and perhaps when I look in my own mirror will always have this to remind me that real beauty truly does come from within...this is one of the most treasured posts you have given ME, Ms. A, and what a gift you have as an heirloom for your son. Who needs Tiffany's when you are this stunning
exactly the way you/we all are?
