Shades of Gray

Normally, rain wouldn't excite me, but when you've been lacking for as long as we have... gray looks glorious!  The temperatures were in the low 70s.  The grass gulped in the moisture and I swear you could watch it jump for joy.

I'm pretty sure I won't feel like that when we are having too much of it, but today, it was heavenly!

I hope you get only what you need and not a drop more! We're done with rain out here for 4 or 5 months.

It finally warmed up this week. We have what's known as June Gloom, aka an obnoxiously thick overcast sky. No rain but it's still depressing. I'd RATHER have rain.

We got rain too! The creekbed has a liddle water in it. But we had some scawwy thunder lights too. I hid in the bathtub.

Seems part of the country is flooding and part of the country is caught in a drought. Glad you finally got some rain.

Please send rain this way. It's been threatening to rain all week, and the most we've gotten is a five minute sprinkle here and there. It's so muggy, it's like walking into a wall of ick.

We are having a bit of rain each day -- no complaints but the weeds are winning...

Terrific photos! We started our Summer daily thunderstorms about 2 weeks ago, and I'm sick of it already. My poor little dog is scared to death of thunder - Oh Joy! More Barking! Where did you get the fabulous hummer thermometer? I want one.
Enoy your rain.

I thought I commented on this post. You've got some good shots. The storm clouds hovered over us for three days taunting us.
