Before I moved, they had a lovely ceremony each Memorial Day in the local cemetery. The high school band played an appropriate piece of music and the vets who've died during the previous year were honored. It was quite moving.
I don't have vets in my family, but nonetheless, it's important to me.
People are slowly forgetting Memorial Day, a DAY to remember.
Thank you for reminding us this is not just a day to get your yard work done.
