And this monster is not far behind... gaining on you!
That's what I feel like!
Our grandson's due date is April 17th, or, it was. I thought I still had a little more than two weeks to get the belly cast done. Not so. If Daughter hasn't gone into labor by April 6th, she will be induced on Thursday, April 7th.
Got the belly cast done. What a mess those things are. It's a lot thinner than I would have liked, but, when things are more settled, I will reinforce it. I just hope it doesn't get crushed before I can get to it. I couldn't help teasing her, just a little and saying we would be able to have nesting belly casts. This will be her third and each one is a tad bigger than the one before. Thankfully, she got a laugh out of it and I didn't end up picking myself up off her hard tile floor.
I'm going to try to keep up with everyone, but if you don't see me, it's because I'm busy, huffin' and puffin' and I'm not even the one that will be in labor.

Very exciting! Sounds like you are the perfect grandmother! Hope you post pics if you can...love babies. They are so precious and just seem to remind of all that is right in the world.
Congratulations!
a tummy cast huh? What does one do with them after they are made? can you tell I didn't get to have children? :-)
How fun and exciting! Congrats and can't wait to hear/see all about the newest addition to the family.
Poor daughter. I hope the labor is smooth sailing and both mother and child are healthy and happy!
Exciting news!! Best wishes all around!
Sarah, Thank you! Me, too.
As you know, we had 2 babies in the family recently. One was a week early. It's exciting, yet nerve-wracking...and I've never had kids! lol!
Congratulations, Granny! : )
This is so exciting! I can't believe baby is nearly here. :)
Oh boy, can I relate to those opening lines! Sometimes I simply want to crawl off and hide my bones in the shed for a year or two!
I've never heard of a bump-cast before - hand and feet casts, yes (all my four have had them as babes), but I simply love the thought of a bump-cast (grin)!
Oh, I hope the waiting ends, and your next grandchild agrees to leave the womb soon..
You have exciting news, and interesting about the belly cast.
Awwww, thank you, Terra!
I'll be holding you and yours up in prayer. But I must ask... What is a belly cast?
KW, thanks for the prayers! A belly cast is plaster strips, placed on the pregnant torso, as a reminder of the pregnancy shape... after it's all said and done. Google it. Some of them are amazing. The ones I do are just so so.
It sounds like it could be a business!
