Mental Image

I give hubby a hard time, all the time.  I can't seem to help myself.  Recently, we were sitting at Whataburger and he asked me something, I can't even remember what it was.  It was something we had already discussed, or he already knew. (Yes, he suffers brain farts, too)  When I reminded him, his excuse was, "I just have too many different irons in the skillet!"  I nearly choked on my fries and said, "Why would you put irons in the skillet, don't you mean irons in the fire?"  Then, I got the mental image and couldn't help laughing out loud. (I don't laugh much)  He said what's so funny?  I replied... I feel a blog post coming on, to which he responded and not the least bit seductively... OH, BABE, COME ON!

So, honey, this one's for you!  (I've gotta strike while the iron is hot)

okay that is a hoot!!

I have had things happen and he will turn around and say, "this is going to be a blog post isn't it?" why of course!

I wonder how many times he's used that phrase before without anyone calling him on it! LOL

I'd have TOTALLY called him on that too. And, yum, Whataburger! Haven't had that in about 13 years. Which reminds me - I haven't had Jack In The Box either! Dammit, looks like I need to make a trip to Texas to get my fast food fix!

Some family has stopped talking to me, knowing that 'anything they say can and will be used against them'. Either way, it's all good. ; )

He'll have to laugh with you if he's a good hubby.

Sarah, he's a wonderful hubby, but he rarely laughs at anything I do.

I hope your hubby read this post and enjoyed your humorous response to what he said. The graphic with the different irons is a hoot. Personally, I think humor is a marriage is absolutely necessary.

Babe, very few people in my family, understand my humor. Pretty much all it got from hubby was an eye roll.

Ahh the power of a spouse with a blog. Sweet revenge with comments too.

No wonder the poor guy loses tracks of conversations, that a lot of different irons to keep track of!

Tatty, I'm totally gonna tell him how understanding you are of his situation. He will be very appreciative. Might even send you a gift! LOL!

Oh I love it when people mix their metaphors. Sometimes I just don't have the heart to correct them. Besides, it just too darn funny!
Hope your hub's ego wasn't too bruised. - G

LOL! My husband has brain farts too. I say he's playing stupid because he doesn't want to use his brain! LOL That's so funny.
