Here are the award rules:
1. Thank the person who gave you this award (that would be me, include a link).
2. Share 5 things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 5 bloggers (more or less) who you have recently discovered and you think are fantastic! Include links to their blogs.
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.
*(I'm bending the rules here by not contacting the ones I've picked. If they follow, they can be pleasantly surprised, or even not so pleasantly surprised, depending on their mood) (plus,
6. Copy this Award onto your blog (linking it to me)
*(Feel free to bend the rules as you see fit, I usually do)
Once again, I will struggle to tell you five things about myself. I'm afraid I don't do this at all well, because frankly, I don't see myself as the least bit interesting.
1. When I was a young girl... so long ago,
I was a competitive roller skater.
2. During my rink rat days, I had fabulous
legs.
3. When my children were young, I
I coached roller skating and my
children were quite good. I'm proud
to have been a part of their skating
careers. Most of their younger lives
took place at the rink.
4. I left coaching when my body and brain
could no longer keep up.
Unfortunately, this also ended my kids
skating and I often wonder just how far
they could have gone.
5. I don't have great legs anymore.
Passing this award will be hard. Everyone deserves to be noticed and appreciated for their efforts. I have a really hard time choosing, since I enjoy all the blogs I follow. Each are different and unique.
Please allow me to introduce you to a personal friend. She has been blogging much longer than me, and is just starting back after battling breast cancer. She has deleted her past posts, so you can start over with her, on her journey back. She is a wonderful writer, please help me encourage her to get back in the game. You can find her @ The Right Wing Extremist Housewife.
Also, some new ones I'm getting acquainted with:
Dr. Soosie
Bossy Betty
Andrea
Ally
If you don't already know them, drop in and say hello.
Thank you, again, Bendigo and Patrick!

I LOVE to rollerskate! I used to go with my folks every Sunday. Now i take Emily and Tyler will push Sarah in the stroller.
That is just so cool!
Congratulations, Ms.A. You are such a beautiful blog writer.
I'm very happy to hear about your skating. What a wonderful thing to have done.
I'll go check out your recommendations now.
Whoo Whoo!!! congrats!!
Competitive skating, as in "roller derby?"
that's the only kind I know of!
Hi Ms. Antropy...I love your name!!! Thank you for mentioning my blog and becoming a follower. I am so fascinated with the whole blog world and really enjoy reading yours. I bet your legs are still pretty good from all those years of skating. I have always loved to roller skate...and I love the Janis Joplin song..."I Got a Brand New Pair of Roller Skates You Got a Brnad New Key." Congrats on your award!!!
Susie
Congratulations! You deserve it. And neat things about you. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats! Sounds like a happy thing! Skating? Yikes! That makes me ankles hurt just thinking about it.
Congrats Ms A,
It has been a pleasure getting to know you and am proud to see you awarded, plus you made some good picks to pass it along to in my opinion.
I remember skating and also my legs being in better shape :^)
I used to iceskate really well, but put me on rollerskates and I looked like a fish out of water. I remember during the disco years rollerskating was the "in" thing to do. There was a really cool rink not far from me, gone now.
I used to rollerblade myself, but never had kick legs. I bet yours are still good!
Congrats on your awards! you're definitely deserving of them! =)
oh and pat totally gave me a hug from you and then he said, "now she said you are supposed to hug me from her too." haha!!!
Ashley, he remembered! I tried to email a response, it came back. You need to check the spelling. (begins/beings) I think you have a type-o.
Ms. Anthropy, thank you so much for the award and kind words. I am having a sort of love/hate relationship with my blog right now. It takes energy to write posts and I have none. Zero. Nada. Don't know if the past years of physical and emotional disruptions have finally taken their toll, or if it's truly my meds, or a combination of both. All I know is that on most days, in between shuttling over 100 loud, spoiled, and unappreciative kids to and from school in loud, spoiled, unappreciative traffic, I just want to escape to my house and become a monk. Thank you again for the reward. I have no idea how to share it on my blog. Does it come with instructions? Love, the grouchy and brain dead blob.
hmm, those look like nice legs in your profile!
RWEH, I totally get it! You won't get any pressure from me... as long as you post. (Please!)
R Jacob, those legs are circa 1976, but thanks ever so much.
I'm glad to pass on that award to someone as deserving as you... I enjoy your posts, and hope you keep on keepin' on for a long long time..
Skating...Now that brought back some memories..I'm quite sure I was never good enough to compete, but we sure did have some fun...Thanks for the trip down memory lane :)
Bendigo, Gosh darn, how sweet! Thanks for making an old lady blush. (and I'm sure it was a blush and not a hotflash)
I love that you ended your list with "I don't have great legs anymore"...that cracked me up! Congrats on your awards.
SuziCate, I'm trying really hard to face reality, even if I hate it! Thanks for dropping in.
Congrats on the award!!! Now riddle me this – competitive roller skater or roller derby girl? Inquiring minds want to know.
Wow! Who knew you were a roller derby queen??? Congrats on your award!
Kristy, When I was young, I only saw Roller Derby on TV. I was an artistic skater... dance, figures and freestyle. Derby has seen a resurgence in popularity around here recent years. I know a few younger women doing it.
Awww, how did I miss this? I kept checking your page but didn't see any updates. Weird.
Thanks so much for the mention. A friend of mine does Roller Derby and wanted me to get involved as I'm large - I'd be a blocker girl. I ran it by my husband who laughed his butt off. I cry when I get a splinter. Those girls get seriously injured.

Hi Ms. Antropy...I am a computer dumbo with cutting a pasting...but I plan to get the award by hook or by crook...with the help of my assistant tomorrow in the am. Thanks again...it is much appreciated!!!!
Congrats! Very well deserved! Bendigo and Patrick are excellent writers and I'm proud to follow both. I'm proud to be your newest follower for the same reason! Great post!
Congrats!
I used to roller skate 100 years ago when I was a kid but I never really learned how. I just sort of dragged myself along the railing.
Happy Thursday Mrs. A,
How the heck are you? I used to ice skate. I can't even manage stilettos now...can't wait to read your next post!
Aaaaawwww, Ms. Anthropy!! Thank you! I appreciate your thoughts and the award. I just saw it - I am so behind on my blogging - kids and I took a little trip - LOVED IT! I am going now to visit your friend's page and the others I am not familiar with yet. I love visiting your blog! I bet you were quite the skater - how fun! I used to work at a skating rink - many memories! Thanks again, skater girl(or should we call you "legs")!
