Beautiful visual imagery of the shells of these lovely creature i remember from childhood growing up in the South...also i feel Mike in them, Ms. A, i feel all of us who are suffering, becoming emptied out of all we hoped for, all we thought we were, all we once felt we had control over in our lives only to discover some helplessness inside that leaves us feeling empty...please forgive my reading so much into these, but it is how they make me feel...however, having shed this husk, a new freshness in life is gained. Mike, you, and yours ever in my heart. love, chana

It looks like a Cicada shell--use to find them on the pine trees when I was a kid. Nice photos!!!

I was looking at your photo's again, and the third one kinda looks like a martian, if there really are martians, which I don't really know. :)

I am not in the right frame of mind right now to appreciate another little creature like this, although I can certainly admire your photography skills. Since moving to the duplex, the past couple weeks have brought me face to face with spiders and bugs so my nerves are weary. Why they bother me I don't know, but they do. Hope you are doing all right. Sending you lots of positive energy.

Hi There, I'm back after a big birthday week. Trying to catch up a little on my blogging.

Great close-ups of the 'shell'.... You are right. It's EMPTY....

How is your son?
Hugs,
Betsy
