Please forgive me for not visiting recently, we are in the middle of a family crisis.
My oldest Son has been sick since before Christmas and after several trips to the doctor and numerous prescriptions to treat what they thought was the flu and upper respiratory issues, he still wasn't getting well. When he began vomiting blood, he was finally convinced he needed to seek emergency care. At the ER, they found out his heart was enlarged and only pumping at 10%, he has a mass in his abdomen and fluid on his lungs. He was admitted.
After receiving a picc line when they were unable draw anymore blood, his leg began to swell to gigantic proportions and his condition worsened and his blood pressure took a nose dive. He was admitted to ICU. As more test results came in and words like cancer and heart transplant were being tossed around like hellos, he was transferred downtown to the Cooley Building at St. Luke's.
They are pretty sure a virus has damaged his heart, but they haven't been able to figure out what virus. A bone marrow biopsy was done on Sunday and I don't know the results yet. He has a blood clot in his heart and leg. There is a whole team working to find some answers.
I haven't had time to be on the computer and while I miss you very much, my Son comes first.
I believe in the power of prayer and I'm not ashamed to beg for yours. Please, please, please pray for my Son and our family.
I hope to have some encouraging news, soon. So far, there hasn't been much.

Oh my, Ms A---be strong. You and the entire family will be in my prayers. Take care of yourselves and hang in. I wish I was close enough to be able to bake or cook something for you guys, as I can imagine the last thing on your mind is cooking, but do try to remember to eat well. Please God-things will be okay.
I am sending my good thoughts and hopes your way. And big hugs for all of you.
Know that I am here and I'll be sending everything I have your way.
Love and prayers to you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear about this Ms A, hopefully your son gets well as soon as possible. It's understandable why you haven't had enough time to blog, let's hope he pulls through this, he's made of strong stuff if he's related to you.
Sweetie, don't worry about us. Concentrate on your son. And you know, without even asking, I've already sent up one prayer and many more are following. xo
Oh...I am so sorry to hear this. You can bet I will pray for your son, good blogger buddy. And I'll also say a prayer for you and your husband.

You definitely have our prayers, as do your son's doctors. Hopefully they will soon discover the virus and be able to solve the problems.
What you need is some laughter to get you through these tough times. Remember it is okay to laugh. Visit blogs that make you smile and laugh. I hope you get Dr. House on the case and he figures out what is wrong. Good luck.
I had a feeling. I'm so so sorry MsA. My prayers are with your precious son, and all of you.
Love you lots; you're in my heart.
xoxo
you gotta be feeling these prayers!
Oh My Gosh... I am so sorry.. I know you are worried sick. I would be too. God Bless your son.. I hope the doctors find the problems and fix them...
My prayers are with him--and the family.
Lots of HUGS,
Betsy
Ms A. I was just now complaining because I had pneumonia, and your dear son is in a life and death struggle again!!
No one in our blogging family has to "beg" for prayers.
The mass in his abdomen is most likely pooled blood. Would you ask if this is a possibility?
Oh Ms. A!! My heart goes out to you and your family. I'm just stunned at this news. I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and heart till your boy fully recovers. I am so, so sorry!
I am so sorry for your and your son's troubles. I hope that by now there has been some resolution. It is frustrating when the medical community seems so slow...on tv they always find the solutions within the hour! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep us posted.
omg, i am so terribly sorry to hear about this. i hope the doctors find the virus and be able to solve the problem.
you know my thoughts and prayers are with him and all of you.
i'll be praying!
(((Hugs)))
No begging necessary my prayers are your families, your sons and his doctors as well. I do hope and pray for his full recovery of what ever it is that is making him so very sick.
Just returned from vacation to find this sad news. All our prayers on behalf of your son. We will be thinking of him each day....
Oh, I hate to hear this. I am praying, praying, praying and putting him in my prayer bowl for those moments I forget to pray. Keep us posted when you can!
Of course your son comes first. This is beyond worrisome for you, and I am hopeful the answers will be forthcoming so your son is able to recover fully. I am with you in spirit.
Prayers sent for your son & for you and the family.
I am speechless.
And I will make myself full of prayer.
I promise.
xo
I'm so very sorry about this. Must be such a worry. I will be keeping your son and your family in my thoughts and hoping for a good result soon. xo
