The Day After

Christmas is over and I have survived!

The family gathering on Christmas Eve went very well.  There was only one whiny child (that doesn't belong to me) and one kinda whiny adult, but bless her heart... she was frazzled.  No, it wasn't me.

I stayed in my pajamas all day, Christmas Day.  I didn't overeat, unless you count snacking on cookies and only had tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and, of course, coffee, several times.

I took a short nap, since that was interrupted because I had to pee.  Funny how that always happens when I lay down.  I hate that!  All the perfectly good naps and nights that are ruined by having to get up and pee.  Okay, I know, TMI... sorry.

When my kids grew up, I started a little tradition at Christmas.  Care packages.  Care packages have included many things over the years, but always stuff I thought they could use.  The guys get flannel sleep pants and comfy shirts, the girls get flannel or fuzzy sleep pants and shirts.  Other items include, socks, snacks, lotion, razors, shave cream, coffee, hot chocolate, etc., you get the idea.  Imagine my surprise when my middle Son sent me a photo of the bag used for the care package and it had this in it...

Wait a minute, I didn't put that in there!  I offered to look for the receipt, in case he need to make a return.  He said no, he'd keep it!

Many of you know I've been wanting to get a new camera and haven't been able to make up my mind.  There are SO MANY OUT THERE it's mind boggling, even if you have a good mind.  Just imagine my problem, not having a mind to work with!  My youngest Son surprised with with the tiniest little camera you can imagine.  If I lose a few pounds, or buy bigger jeans, I can actually fit this little thing in my pocket!

To show you the approximate size of this camera, this is side by side with a pack of gum. (I couldn't use the new camera to take the photo, for obvious reasons)

Pretty small, huh!

I took a couple of tests shots and I'm loving this baby!

I've only figured out how to charge the battery, get it in the camera, put in the memory card, snap a shot, delete a shot and get the photos onto the computer.  There's going to be a lot more to figure out.  Sure wish somebody could have gotten me a brain to go with it!

I love that you enjoyed Christmas Eve with family. Yeah, we had a whiny one here also but she was/is so sick. I'm just grateful she was at all.

Your gifts reminded me of what I my granddaughter and hubby for Christmas; she asked for paper towel, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and the line went on and ON. But, she was very pleased, so that me happy.

I know once you get the hang of the new camera, you'll be a whiz. I'm still trying to figure mine out after two years. LOL Same with my cell phone after TWELVE years. Yeah, if only I'd born with a brain, but actually I try to hide behind being a blonde!!

Have a great day!! Keep resting, that's what I plan do except I woke up at 3 AM. UGH!!

I have the same problem with sleeping! And once you get up to go, then you are wide awake. Grrrr.

You'll have that camera figured out in no time!

I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas - staying in your pajamas all day sounds like bliss. Sadly, I had to get dressed and showered to go to the brother-in-law's for Christmas dinner. It was yummy, and great to see everyone, but....staying in pajamas all day really does sound like bliss!

Your baby camera is darling and takes fantastic photos. Enjoy!!

It's great to hear that you guys had such a great Christmas and I guess it's always the way to have a whiney child around when you're eating Christmas Dinner with the family so what can you do? Excellent post as always, have a happy rest of your festive period to you, your family and your friends.

I love using my camera camera. It's the phone camera that I'm having problems with. I love when the sons send me pictures but it has taken me 9 months to figure out how to download them.....

There must've been something in the air this year because my Christmas was pleasant too. No whiny people this year because half of the group was out of town.

LOVE the pic, soooo cute! And so is the camera. I'm sure you're gonna love it once you figure everything out.

As far as peeing goes, I hope I never get to the age where I have to get up multiple times. Although, I think that's wishful thinking...

We should wear buttons saying "We survived!" Let everyone guess WHAT we survived. lol!

The whiny child at our house was my son. Ugh.

Love the care package idea. I would like to do that for my family but they're all so darn picky.

Cute camera! I thought we needed a new one but we cleaned out my son's room and found 2 (!) digital cameras that still work.

I think that's all you really need to know about a camera--battery, memory card, taking/deleting shots & getting them on the 'puter.

Merry Christmas!

So, Ms.A, are we now competing for who has the least bit o'brain remaining? I must warn you, don't even NOT THINK ABOUT IT, as my brain is a formidable competitor when it comes to...to...what were we talking about? Cameras, Oh, that's right, cameras. Lovely your camera...just seems like there was something else...
HAPPY HOLIDAZE!

What a nifty little camera! I'm a little jealous. I also wish I could spend the day in my jammies . . . but more company is coming tomorrow and there's more cooking to do, drat it!

Based on the shots so far, you're learning it as quickly as can be! Very cute and tiny!

You recently stopped by my blog and commented, so I thought I would read some of yours, and this post made me laugh out loud.. no really.. not one of those lame lols..

I see you learned how to get picts off the camera, and you must have learned to charge it which is good.

Thanks for visiting!
