In my area, one of the things you don't want to be without is AC. Right now... I am. That makes me grumpy. Not nearly as grumpy as it would have if the temps were still in the triple digits, but grumpy none the less.
Another thing that makes me grumpy, is when I feel I have offended someone and had no intention to do so. Please forgive me if you have taken offense at my moaning about Lightbox. I mean you none, I just enjoy your the heck out of your photos!
I've mentioned on numerous occasions that I'm a much better follower, than I am at posting. Many of the blogs I follow post excellent photography! I enjoy seeing the world through their eyes and camera lens. Also, I don't skim posts. I read every word and take my time looking at the photos.
The Lightbox feature that blogger has, once again, added, makes enlarging the photos to full screen, impossible. Personally, I don't like it. For the people that wish to hurry through the blogs and be able to skip clicking on a photo, then clicking again, to view it at maximum detail... Lightbox is your ticket! You can view them all, very quickly.
However, if you want to allow your viewers the ability to appreciate the detail, I don't personally think it's the way to go.
Blogger has allowed options this time around. For those who aren't aware of the options, this fix is simple and I am going to post it below.
Thank you, Blogger, for listening to us and allowing us the option to make a choice. Choice is a good thing!

Brett here from the Blogger team. I wanted to follow-up on this thread to let everyone know that we truly appreciated all the feedback you passed along during the initial launch of our lightbox feature. We ran through the list of issues and have spent a lot of time improving the feature, which we're now excited to launch again later this afternoon.
Besides fixing a handful of bugs, we've also created an option to disable it per blog, which can be easily found in Settings | Posts and Comments in the new UI, and Settings | Formatting in the old UI. We'll also be posting more information later this afternoon on buzz.blogger.com, so keep an ear out for that post.
Thanks again for helping make Blogger better,
-Brett

LOL... I doubt you have offended anybody. Thanks for the tip, Ms. A.
You have been one of MY favorite followers for years now :-)
can you see me now? :-)
No AC?! I would be more than just grumpy!
Can you see my photos? If not, let me know and I'll fix it.
Why would this request offend anyone? I personally prefer to know what I can do to make a visit to my pages better.
And you, my friend, are a FABULOUS follower/commenter! I bow to your greatness.
I have previously been very pleased with Blogger changes. But I'm with you on the photographs. I'm not certain what it's supposed to fix, but I don't think the photo enlargement feature was broken.
No a/c? OMG. You poor thing. It's cooked off here considerably - but it's still in the mid 80's! I can't even imagine!
Can you see my pics OK? Let me know if you have a problem with it...I usually post them as large as possible, so I'm not sure if you can still enlarge them or not....
some people are just easily offended, or look to become offended for some strange reason. I'm glad you brought up the light box thing. I tried to fix mine before with some HTML, which seemed to work for about a week. Then when you told me my pics were back to lightbox, I dug more and found the lightbox option in settings. So I think I'm good now.
So now you can "embiggen" away!
KUDOS TO YOU for enlightening me about Lightbox! I never even knew it existed and after
following your posted instructions, HOPE readers can
see the photography full on! I know you'll let me know...So who did WHAT to your A/C? We have our heat on at night...but then again, we could have had it on all summer up here in the Pacific Northwest...hope it cools down soon and - again - thanks for the heads up on the Lightbox! Why don't they leave a good thing alone?
Yummy, Very nice post. Very interesting blog too. Please accept my Namashkar.
It is hard to imagine as I sit in our cozy little hippie house with outside temp of below 40 degrees that somewhere someone would be using AC. Dang. What is the temp where you live?
I'd send you the 50's we're having if I could, I'm chilly :(
Hey, Folks like you are the reason things improve for all. If there wasn't honest feedback, we'd still be wearing brassiere's!!
(((Hugs)))
You Go Girl!!
There, there, Missy!! I can't imagine you'd offend anyone. Best part of our blogs is we are given an opportunity to vent. Now if the venting is ALL you do, and you start bringin' me down, I'll be one of the first to tell you,(in the words of Loretta Castorini) "Snap out of it!!" But for now, you just educated me and I appreciate that!!!
As far as the A/C, that's reason enough to be grumpy!
that is a very helpful info. thanks for sharing!
also many thanks for enlightining me on the lightbox thing.
betty xx
Don't be daft, OF COURSE you haven't offended anyone - you wrote what you did because you CARE, that's all - and we love you all the more because of that!
Hi there, No offense here at all.. I'm just sorry you can't enlarge my photos. To tell you the truth though, I think that particular problem is with you (your computer) and not with all of us.
I have checked out MANY other blogs since you talked about this--and I have no trouble at all enlarging their photos with the use of Lightbox. SO--to me, Lightbox works...
Wish I had an answer for you... I'm just very very sorry...
Hugs,
Betsy
Be the duck my darling woman! Some peeps just get offended no matter what.
Thanks for the info and I always appreciate seeing you.
You have given me somthing to do this week - look into this lightbox feature. Thanks!
No air? Oooh that would make me not just cranky but explosive. I need my air!!
Well, you know I'm not a photo bug, but like you I also love to see them. I've never heard of the lightbox; computer stuff is way beyond this old girl.
Hope you're having a blessed day, Ms A. ((hugs))
There is actually people that work at blogger?!?
Who the heck knew!
I can't imagine anybody taking offense at someone having an opinion.
Okay.
PS Life without AC is supposed to be crabby. So there.
I can.
It would just be cool if that were true!
I think you're neat AND I never get offended. Even if you call me 'old wrinkly face!'
WOW.
You are a blogging activist.
Creating change.
Thank you for this!!
Okay, all fixed. You should be able to enlarge my (awful) pictures now.
I saw this, thought of you, and cut off the light box.. I'm glad Blogger listened to you...
We, here in Western WA are idiots when it comes to the weather. Nobody believes in AC over here... because it is rarely ever hot enough. Well, these past few years, its gotten SO hot that portable ACs were sold out within seconds. I don't do very well in the heat myself. It makes me really cranky. Same as crowds and being unable to sleep.
I don't think you offended anybody. All you can do is be yourself. If someone took offense, it was their choice to take offense. Unelss you really meant to be offensive, but I don't think you really meant to be about lightbox. I still have no idea what you're referring to, but I can hear the irritation coming through.
I love your sarcastic wit, and your sincerity at the same time. You're just an awesome person, grumpiness and all!
wait a minute, can you see my pictures?
OK, I went and followed your instructions... I'm still using old blogger, not the new blogger and I don't have any idea what lightbox is... but I disabled it now. I hope that solves the problem!
Thanks for the information about Lightbox. I didn't realize that it had been activated on my blog, but I went back to the original settings.
I'm sorry to hear that you are without AC. We don't need to use AC a great deal here on the Plateau, but when we need it, we need it. I hope you get it back soon.
Do you really think someone would have been offended by that? I can't imagine anyone being mad at you?
I'm on WordPress but I usually just size my photos right for the post, so it's a rare photo that is ever able to be enlarged by clicking. Oops!
mOM sez WHOT hoppend to yer aire condishener?? ourz is stiLL working. Come on DOWN!
Oh boy....I'd be freaking cranky if I had no A/C either, especially with the temps you get out there.
I find it hard to believe you could ever offend anyone. You're much too sweet. I sincerely mean that.
I'm sorry for your grumpiness. If I didn't have A/C, you'd hear me moaning across state lines.
Glad there's a fix to the photo problem.
Be well.
xoRobyn
One more new feature? I'm falling behind!
Oh no. Not a grumpy granny. Glad they give an option now. I still don't know.what it is. LOL
Hey - my therapist said much the same thing. She said it seems I come up here to blog to get away fro the hunter. You are so cool!
